Friends of the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) host two regular events for their members:

  • Evening meetings highlight the special features of KNWR. They are normally held at KNWR’s Education Barn. Specific topics, times,and dates announced via the FKNWR Facebook page and email announcements to members.
  • Bird Walks at the refuge on the third Saturday of each month. Meet at 9:00 AM at the Education Barn.
  • Photography Walks at the Refuge on Saturdays from April through October. Specific topics, times,and dates announced via the FKNWR Facebook page and email announcements to members.
  • Nature Hikes at the Refuge. Hikes are usually on Saturdays. Specific topics, times,and dates announced via the FKNWR Facebook page and email announcements to members.members.
