Why become a member?
If you enjoy any of the following: moose, waterfowl, deer, eagles, hiking, wolves, bears, mountains, photography, sunsets, otters, fish, trees, walking, environmental education, birds of prey, snowshoeing, songbirds, wetlands, mountain lions, biking, hunting, wide open spaces, coyotes, elk, fishing, sunrises, cross country skiing and community programs… You should become a member!
With any of the membership levels below, provide us an email address and we’ll keep you updated on our events and volunteer opportunities at Kootenai NWR in Bonners Ferry, ID.
Bluebird membership is free. You receive information about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities at Kootenai NWR. Send your email contact information to our email (knwrfriends@gmail.com). Alternatively you can print,complete and return a Friends of KNWR brochure and we will add your email to our membership list.
Otter membership is $5. With this membership you will receive a Kootenai NWR lapel pin. In addition you will receive a membership card that you can use at participating Friends groups. Show your card at National Wildlife Refuges Association stores for a possible discount on purchases.
Swan membership is $15. With this membership you will receive either a copy of an “Idaho Birds” field guide or a Kootenai NWR canvas tote bag. “Idaho Birds” is a fantastic regional field guide for beginner and experienced birders alike. The two-tone canvas tote bag displays the Friends of KNWR “cartoon” logo. In addition you will receive a membership card that you can use at participating Friends groups. Show your card at National Wildlife Refuges Association stores for a possible discount on purchases.
Moose membership is $20.
